Keeping in mind the increasing crowd of passengers on the occasion of Diwali and Chhath festival in Gorakhpur, the Railway Administration has started 4 new festival special trains. These include trains running on New Delhi-Saharsa, Tanakpur-Udhna-Chhapra, Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus and Vadodara-Chhapra routes in the evening.

Train 1- New Delhi-Saharsa Unreserved Special Train (04012/04011) This train will run from New Delhi at 9:15 pm on October 28, covering many major stations including Delhi, Kanpur, Aishbagh, Gonda, Basti, Khalilabad and Gorakhpur. The train will reach Saharsa on October 30, and will return from Saharsa on the same day and return to New Delhi on October 31. This train will have a total of 16 coaches, which includes 14 ordinary second class coaches.

Train 2- Tanakpur-Udhna-Chhapra Unreserved Festival Special Train (05021/05022) This train will run from Tanakpur on 29th October and from Udhna on 30th October. During the journey it will stop at important stations like Pilibhit, Bareilly, Mathura, Kota, Vadodara and Gorakhpur. This train will have 22 coaches, in which sleeper class coaches will also be unreserved, so that passengers can get maximum facilities.

Train 3- Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus Festival Special Train (05029/05030) This train, which will run from Gorakhpur to Bandra Terminus for four trips on 29th October, 2nd, 6th and 10th November, will ease the movement of passengers during festivals. The route of this train includes Ratlam, Vadodara, Mathura and many other major stations. In return, the train will leave from Bandra for Gorakhpur on 31 October, 4, 8 and 12 November. This train with a total of 20 coaches will all have ordinary second class coaches.

Train 4- Vadodara-Chhapra Festival Special Train (09125/09126) The purpose of this train, which will run from Vadodara on October 30 and Chapra on October 31, is to provide special facilities to long distance passengers. Passing through Gorakhpur, Deoria, Siwan, Lucknow, Kanpur, Tundla and many major stations, this train will run with 18 coaches, which include air-conditioned and ordinary class coaches.
