After the temperature crossed 45 degrees in Pratapgarh, the electrical equipment is also getting heated. The superintending engineer has instructed the XEN, SDO and JE of all divisions to keep the main transformers of 5 and 10 MVA of the substation safe at all costs.

48 coolers have been installed to cool 10 MVA and 5 MVA transformers at Rupapur, Kadipur, Babaganj, Dahilamau, Chilbila, Raniganj, Kunda, Lalganj and Patti substations of the city. Verbal instructions have been given to install coolers to keep the transformers cool.

48 coolers were installed for cooling
Coolers were installed to cool the main transformer at the Dahilamau substation in the Sadar division of Pratapgarh. 48 coolers have been installed to cool 10 MVA, 5 MVA at the Rupapur, Kadipur, Babaganj, Dahilamau, Chilbila, Raniganj, Kunda, Lalganj and Patti substations of the city. Due to the load, the temperature of the main transformer is crossing 90 degrees Celsius. In view of the possibility of blast if the temperature of the transformer exceeds 90 degrees Celsius, the Electricity Corporation is taking new initiatives.

A total of 48 coolers have been installed at the power substation to keep the transformers cool.

The corporation officials have instructed the JE of the substation to keep the transformer safe. The superintending engineer has instructed to protect it. In Sadar division, a total of 48 coolers have been installed at Dahilamau, Babaganj, Kadipur, Rupapur, Gadwara etc. power substations to keep the transformers cool.

Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Superintendent Engineer Satpal said that coolers are being used to protect the main transformer at the substation from heat. Consumers are requested not to run cooler, AC and fan simultaneously.
