Argentina captain Maradona was lifted on the shoulder by the other players after winning the 1986 World Cup.
Diego Armando Maradona, one of the greatest football players, died on Wednesday at the age of 60. Maradona was born into a poor family. 3. Scored 2 goals in first World Cup, but team out in second round
He was inducted into the National Team in 1977 after watching Maradona’s talent. However, he was not included in the team for the 1978 World Cup, saying that he was still a child. Argentina, who won the World Cup in 1978, came down as the defending champion in 1982.

After the match, Diego said that the goal was touched by my head and by God’s hand. Following Diego’s statement, the goal was called Hand of God. It was also voted Goal of the Century by the people. Maradona scored 5 goals in this tournament.

5. This strange coincidence associated with Fidel whom he considered father, after death
It is a coincidence that Maradona died on the same date as former Cuban President Fidel Castro. Maradona considered Castro his second father. Castro died on 25 November 2016. Maradona also arrived in Cuba on 4 December 2016 for a final visit to Castro.
Maradona was also a big fan of Castro’s fellow comrade Che Guevara. He also had a tattoo of Che Guevara on his left arm.
6. Career shiny, but drugs stained
Maradona played 4 FIFA World Cup tournaments, including the 1986 World Cup. He was also the captain of Argentina in the 1986 World Cup. He was declared the best player of the tournament. He won the Golden Ball Award. Maradona has also been awarded the FIFA Player of the Century. Maradona started taking cocaine in the 1982s. His career was in full swing then, but he was addicted. Maradona was banned by his club Napoli in 1991 for 15 months for cocaine use.
