All of them brutally beat him, pushed him down and then one of the goons hit him on the head with a stone slab. The attackers hit him two-three times until he died. Investigation so far has revealed that the attackers carried out the incident with the intention of spreading terror.

However, the police team along with ACP Gaurav Kumar interrogated all the seven arrested and also gathered information about their gang. Today the police will present everyone in the court.

First let us tell you the sequence of events of the murder

Pappu, son of Chhotelal, a resident of Kakarmatta of Bhelupur police station, used to work at a shop earlier. When his wife died last year, he started dressing up as a sadhu. He used to talk to tourists about Kashi at the Ganga Ghat and started living at Manikarnika Ghat.

After the ghat was filled with water for two days, he started roaming around the city and asking people for money to survive. On Monday, he was standing outside the liquor shop near the police station at Chetganj crossing. When some youths came out with liquor, he asked for money.

On this, one of the youths refused and pushed him, while another hit him on the head with a stone slab. Due to this, the monk fell unconscious on the ground. After that, the miscreants crushed his head.

After getting the information of the incident, DCP Kashi Zone, ADCP Kashi Zone and ACP Chetganj reached the spot and informed the family members. After getting the information, his mother and son reached the police station. And kept crying.

This is Sadhu Pappu’s mother and his son. When they reached the police station after the murder, the mother was crying badly after hearing the news of the death.

Seven murder accused arrested, all will go to jail: ACP Gaurav

ACP Chetganj Gaurav Kumar said- A case has been registered against 7 people in Chetganj police station on the complaint of the deceased’s brother. All the seven accused involved in the murder have been arrested. Four of these accused are minors and three are adults.

The accused include three minors Chandan alias Bhilkhodwa (20), Rajababu (24) and Sikandar (42) of Beniabagh. On the basis of the brother’s complaint, the police have filled the Panchnama of the dead body, today the post-mortem of the dead body will be done. The criminal history of the accused is also being collected and effective action will be taken against all of them.
