Police have recovered about 72 lakh rupees from the house of a sevayat of Mukut Mukharbind Temple Mansi Ganga situated in Govardhan, Mathura. The sevayat had disappeared on 29th July with the temple’s offering amount of 1 crore 9 lakh 37 thousand 200 rupees. In this case, the manager of the temple has lodged a complaint with the Govardhan police station.

Money recovered from the house of the present servant
After registering the case, Mathura police started investigating the matter. On the instructions of SSP Shailesh Pandey, when the house of Sevayat Dinesh Chandra son of Girdhari Lal resident Dasvisa was checked, 71 lakh 92 thousand 710 rupees were recovered from there. After which the temple manager, bank manager reached the spot and started counting the notes.

Police reached Dinesh’s house along with temple manager Chandra Vinod Kaushik and Union Bank manager Kamlesh Kumar. Three sacks were found kept in a room. When they were opened and checked, they were found to be full of bundles of notes. After this, a note counting machine was called on the spot. In which 3 lakh 40 thousand rupees were found in one sack, 25 lakh 70 thousand rupees in the second sack and 42 lakh 82 thousand 710 rupees in the third sack.

On July 29, Chandra Vinod Kaushik, manager of Mukut Mukharbind Temple Mansi Ganga, filed a case in Govardhan police station against the temple’s sevayat and current contractor Dinesh Chandra for cheating and fraud and disappearing with the temple’s contract amount of Rs 1 crore 9 lakh 37 thousand 200. The police were searching for the sevayat in this case.

Instead of depositing the money in the bank, the servant disappeared with it
The manager of the temple had complained to the police that he and Dinesh Chandra were going to deposit money in Union Bank. On the way, Dinesh made some excuse and disappeared with the money. He was called for a long time but his phone was switched off. After which, when he was checked at his home, he was not found there either.
Police is searching for the servant
After recovering 71 lakh 92 thousand 710 rupees, the police is now busy gathering information about the remaining amount. Along with this, the police is also searching for the absconding sevayat Dinesh Chandra. The contract for service in the temples of Govardhan is taken every month. Dinesh Chandra had taken the contract for service and gifts of Mukut Mukharbind Temple Mansi Ganga for the month of July.
