Popularly known as ‘Jumping Jack’, Jeetendra has turned 79 years old. He was born on 7 April 1942 in a business family in Amritsar. Jitendra’s real name is Ravi Kapoor. He married his long time girlfriend Shobha Kapoor in the year 1974. However, very few people know that Jeetendra was ever close to Hema Malini. Even he was going to marry his fiancé Shobha but Dharmendra came between the two on one occasion.

Loved Hema, but could not get married

During the shooting of the film ‘Dulhan’, Jeetendra gave his heart to Hema Malini. Both had also decided to get married. When Jhanendra’s fiancée and childhood friend Shobha Kapoor became aware of this, he entrusted Dharmendra with the responsibility of convincing Hema. The result was that this marriage came to a halt. It is a different matter that Dharmendra himself later remarried with Hema.

Jitendra and Shobha were childhood companions

Jitendra fell in love with Shobha Kapoor when she was 14 years old. Jitendra was not a Bollywood star at that time. While Jitendra was trying his luck in Bollywood, Shobha was doing less on British Airways. Due to the job, Shobha often had to live abroad and she could not meet Jeetu even if she wanted to.

Date fixed but marriage was postponed

But after facing many troubles, Jitendra and Shobha finally got married on October 18, 1974. Both have two children Ekta and Tushar.
