The court has sentenced a railway officer and his associate who defrauded the Board of lakhs of rupees by issuing fake bills for the repair of railway vehicles. After the charge sheet was filed in the CBI court in the corruption case, the judge considered the evidence and witnesses sufficient. Holding the accused guilty of corruption, they were sentenced to rigorous imprisonment of five years. The designated court also imposed a fine of Rs 95 thousand on the other accused including Railway Fitter Grade-1.
