The first qualifier of IPL 2024 was played on Tuesday, where KKR defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 8 wickets. Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bat at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and were all out for 159 runs in 19.3 overs. In reply, Kolkata achieved the target for 2 wickets in 13.4 overs.

6. Narine bowled Sanveer on the first ball.
Sunil Narine bowled SRH’s impact player Sanveer Singh on his very first ball. After the wicket of Abdul Samad in the 14th over, Sanveer Singh came to bat as an impact. The shot did not connect and the ball hit wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen and went backwards in the air. While chasing the ball, Clawson dived and completed the catch, however, during this, Rahul Tripathi came in between and Clawson’s gloves and Tripathi’s leg collided with each other. Due to this the ball was lost from the hands of the wicketkeeper.
