Bada Mangal is being organized with great pomp in Lucknow this time too. Preparations are in full swing for the 200-year-old Bhandaara of Omega Arcade Heights in Omega Green Park area on the first Tuesday of Jyeshtha month, i.e. 28 May.

Puri sabzi and cold water are being prepared in the bhandaar for about 2000 to 2500 people. Hanuman devotees will get special dishes in the bhandaar from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Tents are being set up to protect people from the heat.
There will be long queues for darshan in temples, prasad will be available in the bhandaar
The belief of Bada Mangal starting is associated with the old Hanuman temple of Aliganj. In Lucknow, on Bada Mangal, there is a huge crowd in Hanuman temples from morning till late night. Darshan is done in the temple, but people reach the Bhandaars to get the Prasad. There will be a fair-like scene outside the temples.
Organisers of the bhandaara, Manish Dubey, Smt. Rajkumari Rai, Divyanshu Trivedi, Nirankar, Tanuj Sonkar, Arvind Gupta say- Our bhandaara has been organised for years. The taste of the vegetables in the bhandaara here is such that people automatically extend their hands for another dona (plate). Both people walking on foot and those travelling in cars participate in our bhandaara.
Manish Dubey, associated with the Bhandaara, says- The idea behind the Bhandaara is that no one should remain thirsty and no one should sleep hungry in the heat of Jyeshtha. Lucknow has been following this religion.
