Sarojini Nagar police of Lucknow arrested two accused of breaking into a bank within 8 hours. The accused broke into the branch of Union Bank of India and entered inside. They stole many items including steel taps and keys. Investigation into the case has started.

According to the information, a theft took place in the Union Bank of India branch adjacent to Amausi Metro Station on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. Investigation revealed that the thieves had entered the bank by breaking through the wall of the plot adjacent to the bank. One mobile, 14 steel taps, 33 keys, 3 kg copper wire, 5 Android mobiles and 160 tokens were stolen from the bank. Many other things were also missing.
Goods kept in the bank recovered from the accused.
Two thefts were committed in a week
The police engaged in the investigation was searching for the accused with the help of CCTV cameras and electronic evidence. Then the police received information from an informer that the boys who had committed robbery in the bank were trying to escape. After laying siege, three people including a minor were detained. During interrogation, the accused were identified as Parmeshwar Prajapati son of Shabroo Prajapati, resident of Avadh Vihar Park, Badalikhera Sarojini Nagar and Akash Yadav son of Nanakau Yadav, resident of Patti Talla, Pratapgarh.
During interrogation, the accused confessed that apart from stealing from the bank, they also committed theft in MRP trading firm of Transport Nagar. They told that on late night of 17-18 May, they cut the exhaust fan behind the firm’s office and entered inside and stole money and three pistons. The accused told that they would identify deserted houses and establishments and break in and commit theft. The police have recovered Rs. 10,000 cash and goods stolen from the bank from the accused. During interrogation, the accused told that they used to buy clothes and other things with the stolen money.
