MD of Meerut PVVNL Isha Duhan has taken action on negligence in power supply. Discom is continuously being negligent in power supply. On this, late night, on the orders of MD, 113 officers conducted a surprise inspection of 128 power houses in 14 districts. Many power houses were damaged.

Checking was done late at night in Bulandshahr Ubarpur, Hapur, Baraal. During checking, dirt was found in the yard, it was dark and the capacitor bank of the transformer was not working, hence the Executive Engineer was asked to give an explanation.
Action taken against these officers
Show cause notices have been issued to 6 junior engineers and 3 subdivision officers for negligence in power supply. These include junior engineer, 33/11 kV substation Zakir Colony Meerut, junior engineer, 33/11 kV substation feeder-3 Ghaziabad, junior engineer, 33/11 kV substation Moradabad Road, Moradabad, junior engineer, 33/11 kV substation Industrial Estate, Muzaffarnagar, junior engineer 33/11 kV substation Vasudev Gajraula and junior engineer, 33/11 kV substation feeder-3, Ghaziabad. Show cause notices have also been issued to Sub-Divisional Officer, Electricity Distribution Sub-Division Feeder-3, Ghaziabad-I, Sub-Divisional Officer, Electricity Distribution Sub-Division Viprayan-2, Ghaziabad-2 and Sub-Divisional Officer, Electricity Distribution, Sub-Division Moradabad Road.
