On Sunday, Jhansi was the hottest district in UP. The temperature here was recorded at 45.2°C. Kannauj with 44.4°C became the second hottest district and Mathura Vrindavan with 44°C became the third hottest district in UP. Kushinagar was the least hot district in UP with 34°C.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is predicted in 45 districts of UP today except Bundelkhand areas. Storm may blow at a speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour and lightning will also occur. An orange alert for heat wave has been issued in Bundelkhand today. At the same time, a yellow alert for heat wave has been issued in some districts of West UP.

Rain in some places and severe drought in others
Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava, a meteorologist at Banaras Hindu University, believes that the heat has been so intense that changes can be seen in the weather of UP for a few days. There will be more rain at some places and drought-like conditions at other places.
There is a good possibility of rain in the districts of UP bordering Nepal and Madhya Pradesh. Drought-like conditions prevail in most of the districts of Bundelkhand and East UP. Even the pre-monsoon clouds are not seen hovering or raining completely. Favourable conditions for rain may be created after June 10.
Varanasi’s temperature is 40 degrees
On Sunday, the temperature of Varanasi was recorded at 40°C, 1 degree below normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 26°C, 1 degree below normal. The humidity in the air was recorded at 67%.
