The female customer’s experience of enjoying Chhole Bhature turned tragic when she found a lizard in one of the Bhatura served to her.
Chhole Bhature is a popular Indian dish which people enjoy with great fervour. However, recent incidents surfacing on the internet showing food contamination have raised concerns about food safety among people. The latest viral sensation highlighted a shocking incident where a customer’s experience of enjoying Chhole Bhature turned tragic when she found a lizard in an item served to her.
The viral video starts with a shocking sight of a Bhatura with a dead lizard inside. The customer had taken the packed Chhole Bhature dish to her residence. Upon finding a lizard, she returned to confront the food stall owner. In the video, she is seen furiously shouting and even warning the other customers not to consume anything from the stall. She recorded the confrontation with the owner during which he admitted his fault. The customer also inquired about the stall’s locations. The owner replied that his stall named Rajkamal Chhole Bhature is at different places on each day in Delhi. Bazar Sector 15 on Monday, Jahangirpuri on Tuesday, Avantika on Wednesday, Sector 13 on Thursday, Sector 16 on Friday, and Sector 7 on Saturday with Sunday being a day off.
The viral footage was shared on X (Formerly Twitter) by ‘Ghar Ke Kalesh’. The accompanying caption read, “Kalesh over a Customer found De@d Lizard in chole bhature while Eating in Delhi.”

Since being posted online, the video has garnered significant attention, racking up over 190,000 views and sparking a heated debate in the comment section.
One user remarked, “Nowadays Street food & Hygiene are poles apart Avoid eating out as much as possible.”
Another commented, “This maybe true/fake. When it comes to preparing or serving food, Maintaining hygiene & standards is non negotiable!”
“No hygiene, no safety, Only play with Common man health and sentiments,” one person asserted.
“I’ve been to delhi but just ndls nd nizamuddin never stayed for more than 1 day Now after all this nonsense condition of Delhi’s food being exposed I will never prefer from streets there,” a user shared.
“I have stopped eating street food no need to glorify these things . I cook my own food and eat,” another comment read.
“Don’t understand why do people eat outside in India. Given we all know how hygienically they make them…. Even in shiny restaurants, they don’t even wash veggies,” someone commented, expressing frustration and disbelief.
