After the sudden demise of 7 sanitation workers posted at various places under the District Panchayat Officer Office in Mirzapur, appointment on the deceased dependent basis was given to their dependents for their maintenance.

District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan issued appointment letters to the deceased dependents in the Collectorate auditorium. These include Rekha Devi, wife of late Subhash Kumar Seth, Sonali Kumar, wife of late Vinod Anand. Due to the sudden death of sanitation workers, dependents have been appointed in their place.
Similarly, appointment letters have been provided to Ruby Ansari, wife of late Mazhar Ali, Sheela Devi, wife of late Radheshyam Chandra, Lilavati Devi, wife of late Ashok Kumar, Rishabh Singh God, son of late Priyank Kumar God and Durgesh Kumar, son of late Shanti Devi. When the head of the family died during government service, his wife was provided a job on compassionate grounds.
