The last over of the powerplay was bowled by Alzari Joseph. Finn Allen got a reprieve on the very first ball. Joseph bowled the ball outside Allen’s off stump. Finn tried to hit a shot towards point, but the ball bounced high after hitting the outside edge of the bat. Sherfane Rutherford, fielding at cover, ran towards point, but he went ahead of the ball and missed the catch. After this Allen played an innings of 26 runs.

4. Russell missed the runout of Phillips
On the fifth ball of the 17th over of New Zealand’s innings, Andre Russell missed the runout of Glenn Phillips and also gave an extra run. Russell bowled a short ball to Phillips.
