Heat wave and rain alert has been issued in Uttar Pradesh for the next 5 days. Heat wave warning has been issued from June 16 to June 18 and rain with thunder and lightning from May 19 to May 21. In the 3 days of heat wave, ‘loo’ will blow at a speed of 35-40 kilometers per hour. Also, the temperature will fall by 2-3 degrees.

On Saturday, Kanpur was the hottest district in UP and the country. The temperature here reached 46.3 degrees Celsius. Kanpur also had the hottest night with 35 degrees. Apart from this, the heat was slightly more in East UP as compared to West UP.

Even the saints and sages coming from far-off places to Varanasi have become helpless due to the heat.

The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave warning in 67 districts of UP today. There is a red alert in 17 districts, orange alert in 33 districts and yellow alert in 17 districts. Along with this, a warm night warning has been issued in 22 districts. The night temperature in 29 districts of UP went above 30 degrees Celsius. During the day, the mercury of all 75 districts of UP went above 40 degrees and the temperature of 11 districts went above 45 degrees.

Day and night temperature will increase for the next 3 days

Prof. Manoj Kumar Srivastava, Meteorologist of Banaras Hindu University, said that the maximum temperature can go up to 47-48 degrees Celsius for the next three days. The temperature will rise both during the day and night. After that, there are signs of a decrease in temperature. Monsoon activity seems a bit doubtful. Monsoon has not even crossed the border of Bengal yet. It is expected that the initial monsoon rains will occur in UP by June 22.

Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Kanpur Rural, Kanpur City, Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur.

Orange alert in 33 districts:
Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Kannauj, Unnao, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahar, Aligarh, Hathras, Etah, Mainpuri.

Yellow alert in 17 districts:
Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Gonda, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Barabanki, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Kasganj, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun.

Warm night alert issued in 22 districts:
