After heavy rains in Aligarh, waterlogging situation again occurred in the city.
There was heavy rain in Aligarh on Monday. The sky was cloudy since morning and people were expecting rain. By afternoon, heavy rain started and people enjoyed the heavy rain. Due to the rain, people got relief from the scorching heat.

Monsoon has arrived in the district and due to heavy rains, people are expecting better rains this year. For the past several days, there was bright sunshine and clouds were returning without raining. In such a situation, when it rained on Monday, people were seen enjoying the heavy rain and bathing in the rain.

The temperature dropped by 3 degrees
Last week was very hot in Aligarh and the temperature reached 47 degrees Celsius. But for the last two days, there were chances of rain and the sky was also cloudy. Due to which the temperature dropped and it came down to 44 degrees.
Last Sunday, the temperature of the district was recorded at 42 degrees Celsius and people had to face severe humidity. However, when it rained on Monday, the temperature dropped by 3 degrees Celsius and reached 39 degrees Celsius.
It started raining after 1:35pm and it rained heavily for an hour.
Heavy rain for one hour
Rain started in Aligarh at 1:35 pm and by 1:45 pm it started raining heavily. It rained heavily for about an hour, due to which the temperature dropped drastically and people heaved a sigh of relief. The rain has not stopped completely yet and it is raining lightly. Due to which the temperature is expected to decrease further.
Water filled everywhere, municipal corporation’s trouble increased
On one hand, the rain brought relief to the common people of the city, on the other hand, the Municipal Corporation was left helpless. The major Maris Road and Ramghat Road of the city were heavily waterlogged. There is water in the posh areas as well. Various areas including Center Point, Vidya Nagar, Swarn Jayanti Nagar, Durgawadi, Jaiganj, Railway Road are flooded with water.
The Municipal Corporation has been continuously cleaning the drains for the last 10 days so that the drains are cleaned before the monsoon arrives and people do not have to face waterlogging. But as soon as the rain started on Monday, the reality of the Municipal Corporation’s arrangements was revealed. Water filled all around the city and the silt that was removed during the cleaning of the drains also flowed back into the drains.
