The case of three deaths in 25 days at Tirthankar Mahavir University (TMU) in Moradabad has started gaining momentum. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has raised the issue of these deaths under suspicious circumstances and has demanded a CBI inquiry into these deaths. ABVP staged a protest at the TMU gate.

On the other hand, Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) demonstrated at the Collectorate and submitted a memorandum to the DM for a CBI inquiry into these deaths. Former IPS Prem Prakash has also expressed concern on his YouTube channel over the continuous deaths in suspicious circumstances at TMU and said that it is important to uncover the mystery of these deaths. So that the truth comes out and the series of deaths of students can be stopped.

Meanwhile, the university management has released a video of Poonam Chaudhary, mother of Oshorag Chaudhary, a medical student who committed suicide, in which she is seen praising the university management. In the video, Poonam is seen saying, I don’t know the reasons why my son committed suicide, but I can say this much that I have no complaints against the university management.

There should be a CBI inquiry against TMU administration
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Moradabad department convenor Aman Sharma said that three deaths have occurred inside this university in 25 days but the police administration is silent. The question arises that who is protecting the university administration. The incident happened earlier but no action was taken. Aman Sharma said that we are giving a memorandum to the DM. We are demanding a CBI inquiry against the university administration so that the deceased can get justice. Our movement will continue until our demand is met.

The provincial minister said- this is not suicide, it is murder
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Meerut Province’s provincial minister Kshama Sharma said that if such incidents are happening continuously in TMU, then why is no investigation being done. Such continuous suicides inside the university are not suicides but murders, it should be investigated. The university administration is responsible for this. We demand a CBI investigation into this.

Apna Dal workers demonstrated at the Collectorate

Apna Dal (Kameravadi) workers have also raised the issue of the deaths of students under suspicious circumstances in Tirthankar Mahavir University (TMU). Apna Dal workers protested at the Collectorate and raised slogans against the university administration and submitted a memorandum to the district administration demanding a CBI inquiry into these deaths. Apna Dal workers reached the Collectorate under the leadership of Mandal President Rameshwar Dayal Turaiha.

On June 9, the body of a BBA student from Agra was found hanging

There have been 3 deaths in Tirthankar Mahaveer University (TMU) within 25 days. The deceased include a female associate professor of the pathology department of the university, an MD student and a BBA student. On June 9, the body of BBA student Akshat Jain was found hanging from a fan in the boys hostel of the university. Akshat Jain was a resident of Agra and was to go home the day his body was found hanging from the fan. Akshat Jain’s father has given an application to the SSP of Moradabad demanding an impartial and high-level investigation into his son’s death. Akshat Jain’s father is not satisfied with the suicide theory of the university administration.

On July 1, the body of Associate Professor Dr. Aditi was found in the guest house

After this, on July 1, the body of Dr. Aditi Mehrotra, Associate Professor of Pathology Department of TMU Medical College, was found in the guest house of the university. There were 4 knife cuts on her neck. The university called it a suicide. Some medicines were also found near the body. The police suspected that Aditi died due to overdose of drugs. But the cause of her death could not be ascertained in the post-mortem. Aditi was a resident of Model Town in Rebari, Haryana. About 15 days before this incident, she had joined Tirthankar Mahavir University as an Associate Professor. Both her parents are doctors and run their own clinic in Rebari.

On July 4, the body of an MD student was found hanging from a fan
On July 4, the body of Oshorag Chaudhary, a second year MD, Anesthesia student of TMU Medical College, was found hanging from the fan in his room in the boys hostel. Oshorag Chaudhary was a resident of Ranchi, Jharkhand. His father Dr. Apurv Chaudhary was the CMO of Jharkhand, who has passed away. Mother Poonam Chaudhary is the principal of GIC in Ranchi. Oshorag had taken admission in MD in TMU.
