The dilapidated building of Varanasi’s Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Nagar Kabirchaura will be demolished. The medical officer had refused to work in this dilapidated building after the roof suddenly collapsed on Saturday. A child was also injured in this accident.

A proposal has been sent to the government by the Regional Ayurvedic Officer’s Office to demolish this dilapidated building and build a new 25-bed hospital here. Its cost has been stated to be Rs 1 crore.

Regional Ayurvedic and Unani officer sent the report
Regional Ayurvedic and Unani Officer Dr. SS Ram said that the Government Ayurvedic Hospital built in the 70s next to Kabirchaura Women’s Hospital in the city area has been in a dilapidated condition for the last few years. Often, the staff and doctors there report that a part of the building is falling. In such a situation, a proposal to demolish the old building and construct a new building has been sent to the government.
A new 25-bed hospital will be built at a cost of Rs 1 crore
Dr. S.S. Ram said that we have prepared a proposal of about one crore and sent it to the government. A new Ayurvedic hospital with 25 beds will be built in it. OPD will be built on the ground floor and admission wards for patients will be built on the top floor. He said that for a long time there was a demand from doctors and patients to repair this dilapidated building.

The accident happened on Saturday
A major accident was averted in the Government Ayurvedic Hospital after 12 noon on Saturday, 6 July. The doctor was examining a 9-year-old child in his cabin. At that very moment, the roof of the cabin suddenly fell down near the child with a loud noise. Due to which the child got injured. At that very moment, the Chief Medical Officer refused to work further in this dilapidated building.
