A young man who had gone to graze cattle in Sitapur died after drowning in flood water. The accident happened when the young man started bathing in the flood water and suddenly his feet slipped. No trace of the young man has been found so far. The SDRF team along with local divers are searching for the young man.

A young man drowned while bathing
The case is from Thangaon police station area. According to the information, Kamlesh (22) son of Shivnath, a resident of village Lalpur Majra Matadin Purva of the area, had gone to graze the cattle on Monday afternoon. It is said that during this time, the young man left the cattle and started bathing in the water being built near the Rapta bridge located on the Rawani Hussainpur- Lalpur connecting road. While bathing, his foot suddenly slipped and he went missing as soon as he drowned.
SDRF team engaged in search
Local passersby saw the drowning youth and tried to save him but he got lost in the current. Police reached the spot after getting information from the family and searched for the youth with the help of local divers but could not find any trace of him. SDM Biswan Manish Kumar said that SDRF team has also been sent. Soon the youth will be traced and recovered.
