Traffic started about two years before the bridge was built
Traffic started on the bridge built on the Sai river about two years ago. There are a total of seven pillars in the bridge. When a slight crack is seen in the lower part of the fifth pillar from Varanasi side and the third pillar from Jaunpur side, the officials and employees of the organization are repairing the crack on a war footing, filling it with mortar and installing an additional lever so that the crack does not increase and the pillar gets strength.
Roads are broken in two places
The road built on this new bridge has broken in two places in a hemisphere of about one feet. Which has been filled with asphalt. While next to this new bridge, a bridge has been built about 35 years ago. On which Varanasi-Jaunpur traffic is running. In which there is no decrease even after so many years. This 35-year-old bridge was built due to the dilapidated condition of Shahi Bridge built 500 meters east.
The route from Varanasi to Jaunpur has been diverted near Bibnamau Gate. Vehicles going in both directions are coming and going from one side of the bridge to the other side through the same route. However, it is not clear what is the reason for the diversion of the route and the flow of ballast from the pillars of the bridge. On this subject, the workers working under the bridge say that the route has been diverted to repair the road near Union Bank.
