10% reservation for former Agniveers in CISF, BSF: First batch will get 5 years relaxation in age limit; No need to give physical test

The central government took a big decision on the Agniveer scheme on Thursday. According to the decision, former Agniveers will be given 10% reservation in CISF, BSF. Apart from this, they will also get relaxation in physical.

BSF DG Nitin Agarwal and CISF DG Meena Singh gave this information. Nitin Agarwal said in a press conference, ‘We have ready soldiers, nothing can be better than this. All forces will benefit from this. Also, former Agniveers will get 10% reservation in recruitment.’

In fact, on June 18, 2022, the Home Ministry had issued a notification and decided to give 10% reservation to former Agniveers in the recruitment in CAPF and Assam Rifles. BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, and CISF come under CAPF.
