A young man died under suspicious circumstances in Ghorawal police station area of Sonbhadra. The police team reached the spot after getting information about the incident and after investigation sent the body for postmortem.

According to the information received, Chandan, son of Daulat Ram, resident of Khutha, hanged himself from a bamboo pole in his cement sheet house by wrapping a saree around his neck. There were also blade cut marks on his chest, hands and neck. Family members said that Chandan used to work as a plasterer.
On Sunday night he returned home from work in Tenduhar village. Deceased’s wife Anusuiya said that after coming home he scolded his cousin for some reason. Cousin sister left from there. She told that Chandan was also drunk. Then in anger he cut his chest, hands and other parts of his body with a blade.
The marriage took place in 2023
It was told that after this he went to the room and started arguing with his wife. At that time his wife was putting her six-month-old daughter to sleep in her lap. During that time he hung himself from a bamboo in the tin shed with the help of a sari. On getting information about the incident, the family reached Ghorawal Community Health Center. Where the doctor declared him dead. Chandan was the eldest of four brothers. He got married in 2023. He has a 6-month-old daughter.
Outpost in-charge Ajay Srivastava said that on receiving the information, the body was taken into custody and necessary action was taken and sent to the district hospital for postmortem on Sunday afternoon. There were cuts on his chest, hands and neck. Some old marks were also visible. The matter is being investigated. The cause of death will be clear after the postmortem report arrives.
