Since Deendayal Nagar is the biggest area in Madheganj, people are demanding to change the name of the police station.
The process of changing the names of two police stations of Lucknow has begun on the demand of the public. JCP Crime has prepared a proposal to change the names of Madheganj and Hasanganj police stations along with Madheyanv’s outpost Aziz Nagar and has sent it to the government. As soon as the government approves it, their names will be changed.

Along with the regional people, the local MLAs had also made the demand
Local people say that not only people of Lucknow but also people of nearby cities know the area by the name of Daliganj.
According to police sources, the local people and MLAs were constantly demanding to rename the Madeyganj police station as Deen Dayal Nagar, Hasanganj police station as Daliganj and Aziz Nagar police post as Indrapuri Colony police post. For which proposals were being prepared for about six months. Sitapur Sindhauli MLA Manish Rawat had written a letter to the Police Commissioner to change the name of Aziz Nagar post. BJP MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora had written a letter in this regard two years ago. Based on this, the proposal to change their names has been sent to the government. He had written a letter demanding that more people than Madeyganj know the biggest area there as Deen Dayal Nagar. That is the identity of that area. Similarly, more people than Hasanganj know the area by the name of Daliganj.
Local people came forward to change the name of the post
According to police sources, Indrapuri Colony Vikas Samiti came forward to fulfill the demand of the local people regarding Aziznagar police post. The local people have demanded to rename Aziznagar post as Indrapuri Colony.
JCP Crime Akash Kulhari has said that a proposal will be sent to the government to change the names of two police stations and one outpost. He said that further work will be done on changing the names only after the decision of the government.
