In this regard, the priest of the temple, Sunil Kumar Pandey, said- There are two Shivlings in this temple. The Shivling in front is of Sarang Rishi. Who is the brother of Lord Bholenath’s wife Mata Sati. When Mata Sati got married, Sarang Rishi had gone to do penance. When he returned from there, the family members told him that Mata Sati is married to Yogi Bholenath, a resident of Kashi. He was saddened that a princess got married to a yogi who wears a human skull around his neck and ashes on his body. How will he keep my sister happy? On this, he left for Kashi with lots of gifts and gold.

I rested at this place and saw the golden Kashi in my dream
Priest Sunil Pandey said- When Sarang Rishi reached this place which was the place of residence of sages and a shelter for deer, he thought of resting for some time and rested here. At the same time, he saw in his dream that Kashi city is a city of gold. He felt remorseful about what he thought of Bholenath and what he turned out to be. So he did rigorous penance here.

Baba Vishwanath gave darshan and said- now I will stay here throughout the month of Saavan
Pleased with the penance of Sarang Rishi, Baba Vishwanath appeared before him. After this, he blessed Sarang Rishi that he will stay here with Sarang Rishi throughout the month of Saavan along with Mata Annapurna. Since then Baba Bholenath is established here with Sarang Rishi. People bring their sorrows here and Sarang Rishi takes them away.

Get relief from skin disease
Priest Sunil Pandey said – Gum is offered in the temple. Apart from this, any kind of skin disease is cured by visiting this temple with true faith. Devotees come here throughout the year. On the third and fourth Monday of Sawan, there is a crowd of lakhs here. On the other hand, 50 thousand devotees come to visit on two Mondays.

Know what is the relation of this temple with Shankaracharya…

There is no mention of this temple of brother-in-law and brother-in-law in the Puranas
Pandit Sunil Pandey said that there is no mention of this temple in any Purana or Khanda because it was the time of Buddha and his manuscript ended. Apart from this, people call it Jija-Saale Ka Mandir because Sarang Rishi was the brother of Mata Sati.

It was established by Shankaracharya in the 8th century
He told- It is also believed that the second idol (Shivling) was installed by Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 8th century. All the Shankaracharyas who come here say that Shankaracharya installed it here.
