Stray Kids recently unveiled their chartbuster album ATE including one of its hit tracks— Chk Chk Boom.
Already creating a stir with their stint in Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine, there seems to be no stopping for K-pop sensation Stray Kids. In the latest addition to their decorated cap, the group has bagged a special personal record on the Billboard charts. The band’s recently-released song Chk Chk Boom has debuted at No. 49 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, making it their highest-charting song ever. This feat comes at a time when the Stray Kids are already standing at the top spot on the Billboard 200 with their album, ATE.
As announced by the magazine, the group also holds two more spots with Lose My Breath featuring Charlie Puth and LALALALA on No. 90. Additionally, Chk Chk Boom has also made its way to Billboard’s Global Exclusive U.S. chart at the No. 4 spot and the Global 200 at No. 10.
Earlier this month, the K-pop band teased fans with an MV teaser starring Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds. Later, they dropped a banger with the boys’ epic collab with both Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool and Wolverine. Serving as the lead single for her mini-album ATE, Chk Chk Boom opens with the Hollywood heavyweights appearing in their Marvel roles, co-anchoring a new program.
In between their comic segments, Stray Kids delivers an energy-packed performance across rooftop sets and streets. Well, this is not it. The boys are also contributing an original song titled Slash for Deadpool & Wolverine, followed by nostalgic tunes from NSYNC, Fergie and Goo Goo Dolls. Written and produced by 3RACHA, the banger is already making fans go gaga.
Talking about their ATE mini-album features a total of four songs, including Mountains, JJam, I Like It, and Chk Chk Boom. Stray Kids’ global popularity saw a major surge after they debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with ODDINARY in March 2022. Since then, every album has reached the top of the chart, impressively rewriting K-pop history.
The eight-member group consisting of Bang Chan, Changbin, Lee Know, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, I.N., and Seungmin is now ready to kickstart their dominATE world tour, which will run through 2025 across Asia, Europe and North America.
