This order was passed by a division bench of Justice Rajan Roy and Justice Om Prakash Shukla after hearing a public interest litigation filed by the Awadh Bar Association in the year 2017. During the hearing, the state government’s advocate told the court that a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Home on the issue of building a flyover from Polytechnic to Indira Canal.

In which it has been decided that LDA should get a survey done in this regard by a technical agency. But the state government could not give any written instructions to the court in this regard. At the same time, Municipal Corporation advocate Amit Kumar Dwivedi said that the court has also asked for an affidavit on shifting the Avadh bus stand elsewhere.

During the last hearing of this case, the court had said that if a flyover is built on Ayodhya Road from Polytechnic to Indira Canal, then the problem of traffic jam in this area will be greatly relieved.
