In Hardoi, an advocate was murdered by giving a contract of Rs. 4 lakhs. In which Rs. 1 lakh 40 thousand was paid in advance. The reason behind the incident has come to light as property possession. In the case of murder of advocate Kanishka Mehrotra, police have arrested five people including former SP district president Virendra Yadav alias Bire. One accused was caught by the police after he was shot in the right leg during an encounter on Thursday night, while others were arrested from their homes.
SP Neeraj Kumar Jadoun said that there is a mansion near Cinema Chauraha on Lucknow Road in Kotwali city. It was bought by 6 people 11 years ago, out of which 2 people sold their share and 4 partners remained with this mansion. Among them were former SP district president Virendra Singh Yadav alias Veere Yadav, Aditya Bhan Singh, resident of Mohalla Sarai Thok West of City Kotwali, businessman Shikhar Gupta, resident of Dharamshala Road Rafi Ahmed Chauraha, contractor Nripendra Tripathi, resident of Lucknow Road, Ramnagar Colony.
SP said that Kanishka Mehrotra was living on rent in a mansion since his birth. These four partners together tried to get the mansion vacated. They threatened and intimidated him many times but were unsuccessful.
The police have arrested the accused and sent them to jail.

When the house was not vacated, these four held a meeting near Rafi Ahmed square and made a deal with Ramu Mahawat for four lakh rupees to eliminate the advocate. Ramu Mahawat along with his companions Ramsevak alias Lalla, resident of village Jogipur Majra Tatyaura of Kotwali city, Rajveer and Neeraj, resident of Jharoiya, made a plan to execute the incident. The shooters gave one lakh forty thousand rupees as advance payment two months ago. In this, Nripendra Tripathi gave 50 thousand, Bire Yadav gave 50 thousand and Adityabhan gave 40 thousand rupees. Shikhar Gupta had said that he would give his share after the work was done.
What happened on the day of the incident
According to SP, Adityabhan provided Pulsar bike to the accused. On the day of the incident, Ramsevak alias Lalla, Rajveer and Neeraj gathered in Jogipur. Ramsevak called Adityabhan and told him that they were going to work today. All three went to the liquor shop several times and drank alcohol. When the bike got punctured after reaching the city, they got it repaired at Cinema Road. After this, all three went to the lawyer’s house. Rajveer stood outside the house with the bike.
On reaching inside the house, after talking for 20-25 seconds, Lalla shot him on the temple. After the incident, Lalla called Adityabhan and informed him that the job was done. After committing the crime, all three got on the bike and went from the main road Lucknow Chungi to Bilgram Chungi, then from Sandi Chungi took a right turn and took the culvert road and went to Jogipur village via Bawan Road. After this, they fled.
