A sanitation worker died after being hit by an uncontrolled truck in Hamirpur. The crowd that gathered after the accident stopped the police from picking up the body and there was a heated argument with the police. After a lot of struggle, the police were able to send the body for postmortem. The people of the area were very happy.

A sanitation worker died after being hit by a truck loaded with gravel near the bus stand here. 40-year-old Rohit Kumar, a resident of Indarpura village, is a sanitation worker of the District Panchayat Raj Department. He is posted in Newlibansa village of the region. Today evening around 6.30 pm, Rohit was going towards Chandaut village on his bike, when he was crushed by an overloaded truck loaded with gravel near the Chandaut bus stand. Due to which Rohit died on the spot.
Police sent the body for postmortem
After the accident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot and the relatives of the deceased also reached the spot. When the police tried to take the body in their custody, the crowd started protesting and creating a ruckus. Due to this, the police had to struggle a lot. People demanded that a senior officer should come to the spot. So that they can inform him about the accidents happening here every day due to overloaded vehicles and action can be taken against the culprits. At present, the body has been sent for postmortem.
