Algeria’s Imane Khelif, one of the boxers at the centre of a gender row at the Olympics, has guaranteed herself a medal at the Paris games. Khelif is set to win at least a bronze medal in the women’s 66 kg category after defeating Hungary’s Anna Luca Hamori in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach defended Khelif and Taiwan’s double world champion Lin Yu-ting.
