Due to the action initiated by the Uttar Pradesh government against madrasas, now the madrasa operators themselves are withdrawing their recognitions by submitting proposals. In Gonda, 20 madrasa operators held a meeting of their madrasa committees and submitted a proposal to the Minority Department to withdraw the recognition.

Gonda Minority Department had sent a report to the Madrasa Board to cancel the recognition of all these 20 madrasas. In the meeting of the Madrasa Board, consensus has been expressed on cancelling the recognition of all these madrasas. Now the process of closing all these madrasas has been started by the Minority Department.

Action to close 19 illegal madrassas begins

Action has also been initiated to close 19 illegal madrasas running without recognition in Gonda. Soon a total of 39 madrasas will be closed by the Minority Department and the children studying in the madrasas will be given separate admission. After the closure of these madrasas, the names of all 39 madrasas will also be removed from the U-Dias portal.

In fact, due to not getting funds in madrasas, the madrasa operators are now frustrated and are proposing to the Minority Department to cancel the recognition. The proposal is being sent to the government by the Gonda Department. Because in its second term, the Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh is continuously taking action against the funding in madrasas and the madrasas running illegally.

Due to the fear of action being taken by the Yogi government, all these madrasa operators are now gradually proposing to cancel their recognition. If we talk about Gonda, after the closure of the Madrasa Modernization Scheme, all these madrasas are no longer getting any assistance from the government. Due to which all of them are now closing their madrasas.

If we talk about recognized madrasas in Gonda, there are a total of 467 recognized madrasas in Gonda. So far, no investigation has revealed any kind of funding from within the country or abroad in these madrasas. Gonda Minority Department is also investigating these madrasas by forming a team of different officials. Which are currently operating in the district after getting recognition.
