A pregnant woman died in Badaun. The family members allege that the doctor of the private hospital gave her the wrong blood. On getting information about the case, the police got the postmortem done and handed over the body to the family members. The family members are planning to file a complaint against the private hospital operator.

The case is from Sahaswan Kotwali area. Ayesha (30), wife of Azim, a resident of Mohalla Shahbazpur here, had labour pains and her family took her to a private hospital in Sahaswan on the night of 11 September. According to the family, the doctor admitted her. However, after the operation, the woman gave birth to a son. However, after a few hours, her condition started deteriorating.
Accused of putting wrong blood Here, the doctor demanded a unit of blood from the pregnant woman’s family citing blood shortage. The family reached the hospital with a blood unit and the doctor administered it. However, after some time, the pregnant woman’s condition worsened and she was brought to the Government Medical College but she died during treatment there.
The family alleges that the doctor transfused the blood of the wrong blood group and did not even check it before transfusion. This is the reason why the woman died. On getting information about the case, the police got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to the family.
