In Sitapur, due to an old rivalry, goons beat up a young man and shot him. The young man fell down after getting injured due to the bullet. Police reached the spot and admitted him to the district hospital for treatment. Where after primary treatment, he was referred to Lucknow.

The young man was returning home after seeing the crop

The incident is from Kotwali Dehat area. Ram Kishore alias Ramu, a farmer resident of village Haiderpur Sonari, had an old dispute with Kuldeep, Dilip and four other strongmen of the same village regarding possession of land. It is said that last night too Ram Kishore was returning home after looking at the crops in his fields. During this time he got into a dispute with four strongmen of the same village.

It is alleged that the dispute escalated to such an extent that four bullies started beating him. During this, someone fired at Ramkishore. Local villagers reached the spot on hearing the bullet sound. The accused fled from the spot. The family informed the police about the incident and admitted the injured to the district hospital for treatment.

Police recorded the statement of the injured youth

After primary treatment, the doctors referred the injured to Lucknow Trauma Center for better treatment as his condition was critical. On receiving the information of the incident, CO Sadar along with the police force inspected the spot and recorded the statement of the injured in the hospital.

Inspector-in-charge Vimal Gautam said that based on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against 4 people of the village and they have been taken into custody and are being questioned. Further legal action will be taken on the basis of investigation.
