The Kaifiyat Express running from Azamgarh will be cancelled from Azamgarh on 23 September.
Kaifiyat Express train going from Azamgarh district to New Delhi will remain cancelled between Azamgarh and Mau due to ongoing repair work in Mau-Shahganj section of Varanasi division. Delhi will remain cancelled due to the block taken for laying LIIS box for construction of 4 LHS at Mau-Shahganj level crossing.

Similarly, train no. 12225 Azamgarh-Delhi Kaifiyat Express running from Azamgarh on 23 September 2024 will start its journey from Mau itself. This train will already run via its changed route Barabanki-Gorakhpur-Bhatni-Mau. Due to interlocking on the railway track, the routes of many trains passing through Azamgarh have been changed.

- Raxaul Anand Vihar Terminal train running from Raxaul to Anand Vihar Terminal cancelled.
- Bahraich-Varanasi Express (14214) – From Varanasi from September 23 to October 6, 2024.
- Varanasi – Bahraich Express (14213) – From September 22 to October 5, 2024.
- Ahmedabad-Darbhanga Special Train (09465) – On September 27th.
- Darbhanga-Ahmedabad Special Train (09466) – On September 30th.
Diverted trains
- Azamgarh-Old Delhi Express: From 27 September to 5 October, it will run via Mau-Bhatni-Gorakhpur-Gonda-Barabanki. During this time, there will be no stoppage at Rudauli, Ayodhya Cantt, Ayodhya Dham, Akbarpur, Malipur, Shahganj, Khorasan Road and Saraimir.
- Old Delhi-Azamgarh Express: From 22 September to 4 October, it will run via Barabanki-Gonda-Gorakhpur-Bhatni-Mau. There will be no stoppages at Rudauli, Ayodhya Cantt, Ayodhya Dham, Akbarpur, Malipur, Shahganj, Khorasan Road and Saraimir.
- Amritsar-Jaynagar Express: It will run via Barabanki-Gonda-Gorakhpur-Chhapra on 23, 25, 28, 30 September and 02 October. There will be no stoppage at Rudauli, Ayodhya Cantt, Ayodhya Dham, Akbarpur, Shahganj, Khorasan Road, Saraimir, Azamgarh, Muhammadabad, Mau, Indara, Rasra, Ballia and Suremanpur.
- Kishanganj-Ajmer Express: It will run via Chhapra-Gorakhpur-Gonda-Barabanki on 24, 27, 29 September and 1 and 4 October. There will be no stoppage at Ballia, Mau, Azamgarh, Shahganj, Ayodhya Cantt and Rudauli.
- Mau-Jodhpur special train: It will run via Bhatni-Gorakhpur-Gonda-Lucknow on 23 and 30 September 2024. There will be no stoppage at Muhammadabad, Azamgarh, Khorasan Road, Shahganj and Ayodhya Dham.
Short Termination Trains
- Ballia-Shahganj Unreserved Special Train (05167): Will conclude the journey in Azamgarh from 23 September to 5 October.
- Shahganj-Ballia Unreserved Train (05168): Will be run from Azamgarh from 23 September to 5 October.
