The administration has taken a big step to crack down on unregistered hospitals and medical stores in Sitapur district. As per the orders of the District Magistrate, a joint team was formed to investigate the hospitals, clinics and medical stores operating without registration in the district.

Inspection of Maholi CHC During the inspection, SDM Anjali Singh and Dr. Anoop Srivastava examined many important points in the Community Health Center. He took stock of the doctors’ attendance register, medicine storage room and cleanliness in the hospital premises. The team instructed the hospital administration to further improve the cleanliness and system. SDM Anjali Singh said that any kind of negligence in health services will not be tolerated. Medical institutions should be fully committed to providing the best facilities to their patients.
Raid on illegal Mukund Clinic During the inspection, the team also conducted a surprise inspection of the illegal Mukund Clinic being operated near the Community Health Centre. A major negligence came to light here. Instead of Dr. Akash Kumar, someone else was treating the patients in the clinic. This person was prescribing medicines to the patients and was also signing the prescriptions. When the team asked him about his identity and educational qualifications, he declared himself only 10th pass.
This person also did not present any documents related to his identity to the team, raising questions about the validity of the clinic. The joint team took immediate action and ordered the immediate closure of Mukund Clinic. Besides, instructions have also been given to present all the documents related to the clinic by Monday. If the relevant documents are not presented by Monday, strict legal action will be taken against the clinic.
