A special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati is planned to celebrate Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday. The new promo reveals Aamir Khan and his son Junaid making their first on-screen appearance together on the quiz show, hosted by Bachchan. This father-son duo will appear in the episode airing on October 11. In the promo shared by Sony Entertainment TV, Aamir is seen stepping out of his vanity van with Junaid on the KBC set, hinting at an exciting episode ahead.
“Ssshh! Amit ji ko pata nahi chalna chahiye ki aaj hum show pe aaye hai. Bolna nahi ha?” Aamir Khan speaks as Junaid walks beside him on the set of KBC Season 16.
The channel shared another clip from the hot seat, where Aamir Khan and Junaid chatted with Amitabh Bachchan. In a fun moment, Aamir turned the tables by asking Bachchan a “super duper” question that left him stumped. “When Jaya ji would go for shoots with some other hero, who was that one hero whose name would bother you and you get jealous that, ‘Hmm, ok,’” Aamir asked Amitabh Bachchan who laughed out out!
Jaya made her debut in the Hindi film industry with Guddi in 1971, while Amitabh’s first film was Saat Hindustani (1969). The duo featured in many films together such as Ek Nazar (1972), Zanjeer and Abhimaan (1973), Chupke Chupke, Sholay and Mili (1975), Silsila (1981), and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). Amitabh had a cameo appearance in Guddi (1971) and Piya Ka Ghar (1972). They got married in 1973 and have two children together- actor Abhishek Bachchan and entrepreneur Shweta Bachchan Nanda.
Aamir Khan was last seen in Laal Singh Chadha. He will be seen in Sitare Zameen Par next. That apart, his production, Laapataa Ladies, directed by ex-wife Kiran Rao is India’s official entry to the Oscars. Amitabh Bachchan, meanwhile, was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD.
