Then the goddess in the form of a girl came out of the hands of Kansa and merged into the sky and after that it is believed that the goddess in the form of Nand Baba came to this Khatri mountain of Banda, but this mountain failed to bear the weight of the girl in the form of a goddess. He had refused due to which due to the anger of Goddess Kanya, the color of this mountain had turned white due to the curse. And there was leprosy in this mountain, since then this mountain was named Khatri Pahad and after the persuasion of this mountain, Goddess Kanya had said in the sky that she will keep giving darshan to the devotees here on every Ashtami and since then this ancient A huge religious fair is being organized in the temple on the occasion of Navratri.

After that, in 1974, Mother Vindhyavasini had given darshan to Shanta, the granddaughter of Badri Prasad Dubey, a Brahmin family of Girwa and expressed her wish that her temple should be established under the mountain also. After which Maa Vindhyavasini was consecrated under the mountain and it is believed that Maa Vindhyavasini resides in this temple also and fulfills the wishes of the devotees on the day of Ashtami. The members and priests of the temple steering committee and lakhs of devotees who come to the court of this mother believe that after the midnight of Ashtami, the idol of Mother Goddess acquires a special glow. On the Ashtami and Navami tithi of Navratri, a huge crowd of devotees gather here and the wishes of lakhs of devotees are fulfilled.
