A 27-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself in a village in Manjhanpur police station area of Kaushambi district. It is being told that the woman had a dispute with her husband over some issue at night. When the family members woke up in the morning, they saw the woman’s body hanging.

The woman’s maternal family has alleged that her daughter was murdered for dowry. Her husband and in-laws have a hand in this. Police have registered the complaint. Investigation into the matter has been started.
Suresh Chandra, a resident of Neta Nagar town of Karari, married his daughter Maya Devi to Mukesh Kumar in the year 2017. Who is a resident of Ten Shah Alamabad. After marriage, Maya Devi was living in her in-laws’ house. He also has two children. Mukesh used to work hard to support his family.

On Friday evening, when Mukesh returned from work, Maya expressed her desire to go with the children to see the fair, but Mukesh refused. Maya got angry at this and there was a dispute between them. Later, they went to their respective rooms to sleep.
In the morning, when Mukesh did not see Maya in the room, he started searching for her. He found Maya hanging from the fan in the adjacent room. Seeing this, there was a commotion in the house. The neighbors informed the parents. After which Maya’s father Suresh Chandra reached there.
Police station in-charge Raj Kishore said that the legal process was completed after taking possession of the body in the presence of the female inspector. A complaint was sought from the parents regarding the incident. Which has been handed over to the police. Further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report.
