Grape was implemented in NCR 13 days ago in September.
Every year the Grape System (Graded Response Action Plan) is implemented for the prevention of air pollution, but this year it was implemented 13 days earlier in September in NCR for the prevention of air pollution. It was implemented on October 1 last year and will be implemented on October 15 in 2022. Apart from the Pollution Control Board, about 23 departments including Municipal Corporation, Traffic Police, PWD, Irrigation Department, NHAI, Municipality, Health Department, RTO will work in Grape.
Guidelines to control pollution
- Tankers should regularly pick up garbage for spraying water. Sweeping rooster should get the roads washed.
- MDA, Housing Development Council UPCD should install PTZ cameras on the under construction construction, whose area is more than 2000 square meters.
- All the roads of the district should be made pothole free and this should be done on priority.
- Municipal Corporation, Municipal Body, Nagar Panchayat should not throw garbage in the open in the district.
- Resolve air pollution complaints through Twitter, Swachh Vayu App, Facebook etc.
There is still a feeling of heat during the day
The weather pattern seemed to have changed in Meerut on Saturday. The weather was hot during the day but the humidity increased in the evening. Due to the temperature remaining stable, there is still a feeling of heat in the afternoon. However, due to change in weather in the morning and night, one is feeling cold. The air quality index of Meerut has also reduced due to the wind. At the weather office on Saturday, the maximum temperature of the day was recorded at 34.3 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 19.6 degrees Celsius.
