The family members had lodged a report at Muradnagar police station accusing a young man of kidnapping. The police had formed five teams to search for the girl.
ACP Mussoorie Circle Siddharth Gautam said that on the basis of information on Sunday morning, the girl was recovered and the accused Pankaj son Omveer Singh was arrested.
During police interrogation, the girl told that the accused held her hostage for two days and raped her. When she protested against the rape, the young man used to beat her.
ACP said that sections of rape and POCSO Act have been increased in the case. Accused Pankaj has been challaned.
