Taking a big step in the matter of distribution of food grains mixed with soil in Shahjahanpur, three marketing inspectors have been suspended. A three-member committee of the government reached Shahjahanpur on Saturday to investigate this entire episode. The team inspected the FCI warehouse and took appropriate action.

Shahjahanpur District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh was continuously receiving complaints of food grains mixed with soil, after which he himself suspended three marketing inspectors and three other officers and recommended a departmental inquiry. DM’s investigation confirmed that 30 percent soil and wood were found in the food grains. On the recommendation of the DM, the Food and Marketing Department has suspended Senior Marketing Inspector Ramakrishna Dubey, Marketing Inspector Ravikant Mishra and Mohit Kumar.
On Saturday, the team led by Food and Logistics Department official Kamta Prasad inspected the FCI warehouse and reached those ration shops and recorded statements from where complaints of distribution of food grains mixed with soil were received. The officer of the investigation team said that after completing the investigation, the report will be sent to the government soon. An attempt was made to contact DM Dharmendra Pratap Singh, but his CUG number was not found.
