Serious flaws revealed in investigation
During the SDM’s raid in this hospital located near the Medical College on Osa Road, it was revealed that the hospital was operating in the basement. Apart from this, the hospital was not registered with the health department. During investigation, not a single doctor was found on duty, while there were 5 patients admitted in the ward and one patient in the ICU.
Investigation started after death
Last month, road accident victim Mohit Yadav died in Life Care Hospital. In critical condition, he was referred to SRN from the medical college, but despite the absence of specialist doctors and facilities, he was admitted to a private hospital. Mohit’s family members created a ruckus against the hospital administration after his death, due to which the hospital filed a case of assault against them.
Complaint and action of family members
Mohit’s family demanded the death certificate of the deceased, but the hospital administration refused to give it. On this he complained to District Officer Madhusudan. The DM formed a team of SDM Akash Singh and Deputy CMO Dr. Rahul Singh and started the investigation of the hospital.
The investigation found that the hospital was operating against the rules and lacking doctors, after which it was sealed. CMO Dr. Sanjay Kumar said that the hospital has been sealed after the investigation conducted on the orders of DM found illegal operations. Now it is being ascertained under what circumstances the hospital was operating.
