women’s enthusiasm The festival of Karva Chauth is very important for married women. This year, a lot of enthusiasm was seen among women for this festival on Sunday. The women had started preparations since morning, and in the evening they started waiting for the moon to rise.
joy of puja As soon as the moon appeared, married women reached the rooftops with puja plates and performed the puja as per the rituals. They prayed to God for the long life of their husbands. A large number of women gathered for mass worship at the temple of Santoshi Mata located in Bajpai Colony of the city. In many localities including Punjabi Colony, women also organized mass puja in their homes.
