An important meeting regarding the Run for Unity organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was organized in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar. This year the race will be held on 29 October 2024 at 8:30 am instead of 31 October.

The District Magistrate said that school students and players will participate in this race, and the rally will be flagged off by the Chief Minister from 5 Kalidas Marg. Instructions have been given to all departments to ensure necessary arrangements in time.
Instructions were given to the Municipal Corporation and Lucknow Development Authority for cleanliness arrangements and flower decoration, while the traffic police will ensure traffic diversion and parking arrangements from October 28. Keeping in mind the participation of more people, instructions have also been given to the health department to make arrangements for ambulances and medical camps.
Additional District Magistrate Nagar East, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue, City Magistrate and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
