Charuken can spoil BJP’s equation. Charuken can spoil BJP’s equation: SP has made Charuken its candidate in Jatland, if Jat and Jatav equation is formed then victory is certain – Aligarh News
Charuken is a candidate for the by-election in Khair from the SP-Congress alliance.
Samajwadi Party has made Charuken, daughter of former District Panchayat President Tejveer Singh Guddu, its candidate from Khair Assembly of Aligarh. After the announcement of Charuken, there is an atmosphere of panic in the BJP camp. Because even though this seat is currently reserved
,
SP candidate Charuken is from Jatav community. Due to which he has been given ticket on SC/ST reserved seat. But she is married to Deepak Chaudhary, son of former District Panchayat President Tejveer Singh Guddu. Who are from Jat community. In such a situation, if Jat and Jatav become an equation, then this seat can also go out of the hands of BJP.
Charuken was at second place in 2022
Charuken, who had won the Samajwadi ticket, had recently joined the Congress. After which he got the ticket from SP-Congress alliance. Earlier, she had also contested elections from Khair assembly seat in 2022. In 2022, Charuken was a candidate from Bahujan Samaj Party and was at second position. BJP’s Anoop Pradhan, who won, got 1,39,643 votes, while Charuken, who came second, got 65,302 votes.
Number of Jat and Jatav voters 1.80 lakh
There are 4.03 lakh voters in Khair assembly seat of Aligarh. There are 2.15 lakh males and 1.87 lakh females. The maximum number of voters in this, 1.15 lakh, are from Jat community. Who is called kingmaker. After this there are 1.10 lakh voters from SC/ST community. In which 70 thousand are Jatav, 30 thousand are Valmiki and 10 thousand are from other reserved category.
There are a total of 2.25 lakh voters from Jat and SC/ST communities. Whereas Anoop Valmiki had won in 2022 by securing 1,39,673 votes. In such a situation, if Charuken gets the support of only Jat and Jatav community then it will not be difficult for him to win. Because apart from being from Jatav community, she is the daughter-in-law of Jat community. At the same time, being a coalition candidate, he will get the votes of Muslim and OBC community and also the traditional votes of both the parties.
Before reservation, Jats had dominance in Khair.
Khair assembly seat of Aligarh is also called Jatland. Because Jat voters are in majority here and Jat candidates have been dominating since independence. In 1967, 1974 and 1980, Congress candidates won from Khair Assembly. Lok Dal won in 1985 and Janata Dal won in 1989.
When Ramlahar came in 1991, then BJP’s account was opened here. At that time also Jat candidate Chaudhary Mahendra Singh won from here. In 1993, this seat again went to Janata Dal. In 1996, BJP made Chaudhary Charan Singh’s daughter Gyanwati its candidate. This experiment was successful and Gyanwati reached the assembly after blooming lotus.
BSP had stopped the chariot of Jat candidates
The trend of victory of Jat candidates was broken by BSP in 2002. BSP fielded a Brahmin candidate from here and Pramod Gaur won. BSP changed the results due to Brahmin-Dalit equation. However, in 2007, RLD again took this seat into its account.
Khair Assembly was reserved in 2008
The boundaries were changed in 2008 to keep up with the changing times. Then in 2008, Khair assembly seat was reserved for SC/ST category. Despite being reserved, RLD had won this seat in 2012. In this election, BJP’s Anup Valmiki stood third and got only 26 thousand votes.
Lotus bloomed after 23 years in 2017

The party expressed confidence in Anoop in 2022 also and he won again and became the Minister of State for Revenue in the state. Then the party elected him for Hathras Lok Sabha and he won. This seat has become vacant only after Anup Valmiki became Hathras MP and by-elections are being held here.
