Farmers were given a gift by LDA before Diwali. After ending the long standing dispute, 53 pieces of land were allotted in Gomti Nagar area. This is all commercial land.

LDA Additional Secretary Gyanendra Verma said that the land of village-Ujriyaon, Takhwa Kathauta and Husdiya etc. was acquired by the authority for the Gomti Nagar Phase-2 scheme. Apart from this, land of village-Maleshemau and Makdoompur was acquired for Gomti Nagar expansion plan.
In order to provide employment to the farmers affected by this, commercial land was to be allotted to them. For which many farmers had applied. However, he could not be found even after many years. Regarding this, the farmers had surrounded the LDA office several times. But now they have got that land. The price of one month is currently in crores of rupees.

This land was given to the farmers through lottery system. On Saturday, lottery was conducted in the presence of eligible farmers in Baradari Lawn of Pradhikaran Bhawan. In which 131 platforms were allotted to the eligible farmers of village Maleshemau and Makdoompur in Sector-01 and 04 of Gomti Nagar Extension. At the same time, 22 eligible farmers were allotted commercial platforms in the special section of the land acquired for the Gomti Nagar Phase-2 scheme. In this way, a total of 153 eligible farmers were allotted platforms through a transparent process.
