Police have arrested four members of a gang that stole oil from trucks parked near Tundla Toll Plaza in Firozabad. When the police brought one of these accused to recover the stolen oil, the accused fired at the police team with the pistol he had hidden.

SP City Ravi Shankar Prasad said that on the night of September 17, thieves had stolen 300 liters of diesel by breaking the lock of a truck tank near Tundla Toll Plaza. Considering the seriousness of the matter, three police teams were formed.
Based on the information of the informer, the police stopped a Swift Dezire car for search near Nagla Mahadev Tirahe on Saturday night, but the people in the car started trying to escape. The police showed promptness and surrounded and arrested four accused. During interrogation, they were identified as Talib (s/o Noor Basar), Zuber (s/o Bilal), Sajid Chauhan (s/o Jamil), and Sabeel (s/o Islam), all residents of Sarurpur area of Meerut.
130 liters of diesel, a pistol and cartridges have also been recovered from the arrested accused. The injured accused is being given treatment in the hospital, while intensive interrogation of the other accused is going on. Police believe that this gang was active in the area for some time.
