Farmers were expecting increasing cold in the beginning of November. Although the cold has not increased, the heat is definitely showing its attitude. In such a situation, farmers are currently retreating from sowing wheat. Now we have to wait for the change in weather. But sowing of mustard and gram is continuing, which will continue for another week. In such a situation, if the cold does not subside within a week, the growth of mustard may also get hampered. It is hot in Etawah area since October, the situation is such that till now the day temperature has not come below 28 degrees. Due to which this temperature is not suitable for sowing of crops. The concern of farmers has continuously increased due to the weather. Due to the temperature not decreasing, the mustard and gram crops sown in the month of October of Rabi season are getting affected. Farmers said that due to lack of cold, there will be no growth of crops and there is a possibility of pests in the crops. Some farmers sowed earlier, due to not getting favorable temperature, mustard crop has suffered damage in the fields, while many farmers have sown earlier. Farmers have to sow mustard again.

Farmers said that due to constant temperature throughout the day, mustard will not grow properly and the land will also not be able to store water for long. Due to this, the mustard crop will require more water. However, slight coolness is also being felt in the weather at night. Farmers hope that the effect of cold will increase soon, because the better the cold, the better will be the crop. Assistant Agriculture Officer Lekhraj Meena said that crops will be sown in 61423 hectares of agricultural land in Etawah area. Farmers of the area should sow crops only after treating seeds and land. This will benefit them in the crop. Sowing is beneficial only when the weather is favourable. Due to higher than normal temperatures, there may be a possibility of insect diseases in the initial stage of the crop. Therefore, keep monitoring the crops continuously. He told that there is some heat now, due to this the crops sown from the month of October have definitely been affected, farmers should sow the crops only when the weather is favourable. If the farmer does not get DAP, he can apply NPK fertilizer in the field. Due to non-availability of sufficient quantity of DAP fertilizer in the area including Etawah for the last fortnight, farmers are forced to wander around in search of fertiliser. Farmers are making rounds of private dealers for DAP fertilizer.
Due to the same not being available in cooperative institutions, farmers are worried about the upcoming sowing of their crops. This time the farmers are very worried about DAP fertilizer and they leave their homes in the morning to collect the fertilizer but return disappointed after getting the news of not getting the fertilizer even till evening.
