Strike against lathicharge on advocates in Ghaziabad: Lawyers abstaining from judicial work, said – agitation will continue in the entire state




Lawyers remained on strike in Lalitpur on Friday in protest against the lathicharge on advocates by the police in the District Judge Court of Ghaziabad. Under the leadership of District Bar Association President Brijendra Singh Yadav, the advocates staged a dharna at the main gate of the court and abstained from judicial work. Advocates strongly condemned the lathicharge on lawyers in Ghaziabad. He demanded the dismissal of the District Judge Ghaziabad and an FIR against the policemen who resorted to lathi charge. He said- This movement will continue in the entire state and may continue for a long time. Litigants faced problems during the protest; senior Bar Association member Jeevandhar Lal Jain, General Secretary Mahendra Kumar Jain, Treasurer Vijay Patel, Nemichand Jain, Pushpendra Singh, Lakhan Yadav, Sher Singh Yadav, Ram Gopal Ahirwar and many advocates were present. Due to this strike of lawyers, the litigants had to face problems and many judicial works were disrupted.
