As soon as the news of the dead bodies of four cows being found in the river Ganga was received on Saturday, leaders of Hindu organizations and dozens of villagers reached the spot in anger. He says that for the last 6 months, carcasses of cows are being found continuously in the Ganga. Information about which was given to the police several times, but till now no concrete action has been taken. The villagers accused the police of threatening them if they complained.
The last rites were performed by digging a pit. As soon as the matter gained momentum, CO Sadar Aanchal Chauhan reached the spot with the police force and inspected the spot. After this, the bodies of all the dead cows were cremated by digging a pit. Bajrang Dal’s department coordinator Amrish Vashishtha demanded strict action in this matter. He said- The accused should be arrested as soon as possible and strict action should be taken against them. So that such incidents do not happen again.
